In June 1996, Lockton opened its doors in Beijing with the establishment of its China representative office. The China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) granted Lockton a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) insurance broking license in China in August 2008, under the name of Lockton (Shanghai) Insurance Broker Co. Ltd. With that, Lockton China became a full-service broker, providing expertise and service on the complete range of insurance products available to clients, transacting insurance and reinsurance business both in general and specialised sectors.
Lockton China is a market leader providing international best practices in insurance, reinsurance and risk management services to clients with operations in the People's Republic of China (PRC).
